Welcome to Solvang School!

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to Solvang School District, a California Distinguished School. Whether you are a multi-generation Solvang family or brand new to us this year, we welcome the opportunity to provide your students with excellence in education and a safe, caring environment. We have hard-working staff who take pride in their mission to serve and educate all our students to the best of our ability.

Here at Solvang, we work to provide the best possible educational opportunity to each and every one of our children. We are here to serve you. We take to heart the core mission of a public school: that no matter who you are or where you are from, you are welcome here and we will provide you with the best education we are capable of offering.

Our core mission is teaching and learning. We strive to be role models of life-long learning for our students by never being satisfied. We believe that we can always be better for students and they deserve no less. We engage in ongoing, high-quality professional development – reading, researching and learning from each other so that we can create the best atmosphere for learning in every single classroom at Solvang.

Solvang School is truly a family. Our staff cares deeply for our students and their families and are committed to an ethic of service – helping our families in every way we can while giving our best effort every day to educate our students.

Our Mission

The aim of Solvang School is to graduate responsible and productive citizens with strong critical thinking and academic skills by providing a rigorous, dynamic, comprehensive curriculum delivered in partnership with the community, family and a competent, qualified staff in a safe and caring environment.

1/6/17

Many parents don't realize that a student can not come to school in 7th grade unless they have had their TDAP immunization. Parents of 6th graders, it's not too early. Please make sure all your student's immunizations are up to date and bring proof of the TDAP in to the school office. Once this is done, you child is good to go for 7th grade. Contact Nurse Sandy with questions at 697-4723.
