Financial Audits

All school districts are required to have an annual audit by an external accounting firm.  School districts are required to file the annual financial audit report for the preceding year with the County Education Office, the State Controller Office and the California Department of Education by December 15th of every year. 

 

On or before January 31st at a public meeting, the governing board reviews the following:

1) the annual audit report for the prior fiscal year

2) audit exceptions identified in the report

3) a detailed written description of actions to be taken to correct audit exceptions

 

External audit firm, Moss, Levy & Hartzheim, completed their audit of the Solvang School District for the fiscal year 2021-2022.  There were no audit findings, so no corrective action plans were required.
